Development InfoStructure (devIS) is a specialized information systems consulting firm providing vendor independent, state-of-the-practice, information systems technical support. Incorporated in Virginia in 1992, devIS was founded to provide innovative, practical approaches to information management for private or public organizations facing information sharing challenges. The firm is dedicated to helping clients build a proactive information infrastructure that can adapt to strategic requirements.
Over the years, the firm has developed numerous systems to provide high-quality websites providing information for a wide variety of audiences. In addition, we have extensive experience in building systems which allow multiple people separated by geography to group manage content and/or data from simple low security systems to high-level, ultra-secure systems.
Our guiding philosophy is that of "usable accessibility." All methods of access, whether it be visual, audible, etc have as much care placed into the design. Accessibility is not something that is tacked on via alt attributes when the core design is finished, but is an integral part of the design from the very beginning.
devIS designed and devloped the President's central website for disabilities related information, DisabilityInfo.gov (http://www.disabilityinfo.gov/) which was reviewed and received high marks from a cross-agency review panel. |
