Mike DeWine (U.S. Senate, R-OH)

Mike DeWine is a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions Committee, the Arts Endowment's authorization committee. Senator DeWine serves as chairman of the Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition, and Policy & Consumer Rights, the Appropriations Subcommittee on the District of Columbia, and the Select Intelligence Committee. After earning degrees from Miami University and Ohio Northern University Law School, Senator DeWine became Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Greene County, Ohio, at the age of 25. In 1976, he was elected Greene County Prosecuting Attorney. Senator DeWine was first elected to the Ohio State Senate in 1980 and to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982. In 1991, Senator DeWine was sworn in as Ohio's 59th Lieutenant Governor, and he has been a U.S. Senator since 1995.
