Betty McCollum (U.S. House of Representatives, D-MN)

Betty McCollum was just elected in 2001 to represent the fourth district, comprised of Ramsey and a portion of Dakota Counties including the state's capital city of St. Paul. In the House, she serves on the Education & Workforce Committee, the Arts Endowment's authorization committee, and the International Relations Committee. Prior to serving in Congress, McCollum served for eight years in the Minnesota House of Representatives and on the North St. Paul City Council. Previously, she was a high school social science teacher who received her B.S. degree from the College of St. Catherine.
