DESIGN SERVICES

Staff Design

  • Develop specifications and drawings for construction and renovation contracts.
  • Serve as contracting officer's technical representative (COTR) on construction renovation projects.
  • Prepare rough order of magnitude and detailed cost estimates.
Contract A&E; Design
  • Assist in developing statements of work for A&E; design services.
  • Negotiate A&E; design contracts and fees.
  • Contract for and administer A&E; design contracts.
  • Provide independent reviews of A&E; design documents.
  • Serve as liaison between client and A&E.;
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings and represent clients.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
  • Review and approve construction schedule.
  • Develop construction inspection schedule.
  • Perform construction inspections.
  • Perform contractor submittal reviews.
  • Review contractor change requests.
  • Review and approve requests for progress payments.
FACILITY CONDITION SURVEYS
  • Inspect site for mechanical, electrical, architectural and structural condition.
  • Review for life-safety, accessibility and building code compliance.

Reports

Survey will be documented in a comprehensive report. Written reports will consist of an executive summary, prioritized list of findings, cost estimates and suggested schedule for repairs. Report will also include copies of field write-ups, photographic documentation of each finding and video tapes as needed.
