Department of the Navy
Presidential Management Fellows Program
We're Looking for the Best!
The Department of the Navy Presidential Management Fellows
(PMF) Program is your first step towards leadership in the public sector.
Come join the 180,000 civilians employed by the
Department of the Navy (DON) at Navy and Marine Corps activities throughout
the world. Civilian employees provide the critical infrastructure needed to
support the Department's mission. From scientific research to support of
the families of the men and women who serve, civilian employees work within
an exciting and diverse environment.
By becoming a DON PMF, you will have the opportunity to
make a difference! Your assignments may involve program and policy issues,
human resources, technology, financial management, or a variety of other
fields. But, regardless of the
field you choose, you will be able to put your knowledge to work in the
service of your country.
We are a Winning
Organization!
This past year demonstrated the value of naval forces projecting
decisive,
joint power across the globe.
Our
Task: continue to accelerate the advantages the U.S. Navy
brings
this nation.
(ADM Vern Clark, Chief of Naval
Operations)
As a DON PMF you will receive at
least two, 60-day rotational assignments to other functional areas within
the DON/Department of Defense (DOD) or the
Federal government. You will
also attend OPM and DON sponsored training events for at least 80 hours of
training each year. DON events
include a 4-day Capitol Hill Workshop, leadership training, a trip to the
Marine Corps Boot Camp in Parris Island, SC and other Fleet/Force Commands.
