Zero Mostel, aka, Samuel Joel Mostel, was born February 28, 1915, at Brooklyn, New York. Mostel was an actor and comedian who performed on stage and in movies. When Mostel was in the service, he spent his spare time entertaining the other troops. In April 1953, subject appeared at the Palladium in London, England for two weeks. Zero Mostel was known for his artistic ability. He was known as a former painter, art teacher and lecturer at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He starred on Broadway in the theater production of "Fiddler on the Roof."
