- Features
The primary function of the SES SOARS system
is to provide SES Members with an online web application by
which the member can submit a resume for consideration of
Agency Opportunity positions both temporary and permanent.
SES SOARS also provides a mechanism by which Human Resource
Managers can search and view resumes submitted by
SES Members in order to match a resume to an
opportunity.
- Settings
For optimal viewing capabilities, the
developlers of this application recommend setting your viewing
options to 800 X 600 or higher. SES SOARS is best viewed by
using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, however, the application is
also compatible with Netscape 4.0 or higher and Internet Explorer
4.0 and higher. |
Request Access
This is the first
step in
accessing the SES SOARS
system. You must request access as either an SES Member or
a as a member of an agency's Human Resources
Staff. To request access from the login screen you can either
click on the Request Access button at the
top of the page
in the main menu or click the link just under the
Password block that states New User? Sign Up Here.
- SES Member
Select the Access to SES SOARS for SES Members
option if you are a current member of the Senior Executive Service, an SES
reinstatement eligible, or a CDP Grad and are requesting access to SES SOARS.
You will be able to submit your resume and or view opportunities posted by
agencies. After you have completed the request access form
you should receive your user id and password via e-mail within one
business day.
- Human Resources
Staff
Select the Access to SES SOARS for Human
Resources Staff option if you are part of the Human Resources
Staff for your agency. You will be able to submit
opportunities for your agency and or view resumes posted by
current SES members. After you have completed the request
access form you should receive your user id and password via
e-mail with one business day.

Logging in to
System
After you have
received your User Id and Password via e-mail you can gain access to
the SES SOARS system. Click in the User ID block and type in
your User ID then click in the Password block and type in your
password. After you have entered your User ID and Password
click on the Login button. If you requested access as an SES
Member then you will be taken to the SES Member options page after
you click on the Login button. If you requested access as an
Human Resources Staff member then you will be taken to the Human Resources Staff member
options page after you click on the
Login button.

Logging out of the System
To end your session and log out of the system go to
the top of any of the pages where the main menu is located and click on
the Logout button.
