A LIFESAVING STORY:   It was about 6:00pm and Chris had had enough surfing and decided it was time to go home. He tried several times to come in on the waves but was unsuccessful, due to the strong current created by the shorebreak. He decided to paddle south and try to take the surfbreak in but the current was so strong that it started taking him out to sea.
