MISSION: Coordinate the on-site activities of MSHA during deployments to mine emergencies.
Deploy and operate the MSHA Seismic Location System during mine emergencies.
Deploy and operate the MSHA TS-Probe System during mine emergencies.
Deploy and operate the MSHA Mini-Seismic Systems during mine emergencies and other catastrophic disasters (earthquakes, building collapses, etc.).
Coordinate the activities of the Mine Emergency Unit (MEU) during mine emergencies and recovery operations.
