Meet Our StaffOur staff consists of economists, statisticians, information specialists, social scientists, administrative assistants, and business liaison specialists. EAO's staff designs and conducts evaluation studies, collects data from each ATP company throughout the life of the project and periodically after the project ends, conducts analyses and reports results, and provides liaison with the larger evaluation community. EAO also employs the services of academic researchers and consulting firms in its evaluation activities. We regularly convene the nation's leading economists in the field of the economics of science and technology and other experts in evaluation from schools of business, management, and public policy to discuss and advise on our evaluation plan and studies. In support of ATP's selection of technology development projects, the EAO maintains a roster of several hundred business, economic, and industry experts from the private sector to serve as independent reviewers of the business and economic merit of proposals. Although the EAO staff focuses on evaluation, most members also serve as business specialists on Source Evaluation Boards and on project monitoring teams.
