The Performance Based Systems (PBS) Workgroup was established to promote the design and implementation of a system that permits the use of any appropriate measurement methods that demonstrate the ability to meet established performance criteria and that comply with specified data-quality objectives (DQOs) and/or measurement-quality objectives (MQOs) needs. Performance criteria, such as precision, bias, sensitivity, specificity, and detection limit, must be designated, and a method-validation process must be documented (ITFM).
