Welcome!

The P2 Ashore site is designed to provide Navy Personnel with efficient access to technology-driven solutions to environmental compliance challenges. Through this project NAVFAC leads the development and validation of new technologies. These technologies help Navy personnel to address environmental compliance requirements, and pollution prevention opportunities, by providing implementable, cost-effective solutions. This Web site profiles research and development projects addressing a broad spectrum of Naval shore operations including:

  • Ship maintenance and repair operations,
  • Ordnance manufacture and demilitarization,
  • Other industrial operations,
  • Hazardous materials management,
  • Base operations.

Baseline Assessment Needs

The Navy Pollution Abatement Ashore Technology Demonstration and Validation Program encourages Navy users and Major Claimants to submit environmental technology needs.

To submit a need requiring a technology-driven enviromental solution, click on this NAVY ENVIRONMENTAL NEED FORM at the Navy Shore Side Development, Test and Evaluation (SSRDTE) web site.

The purpose of the SSRDTE web site is for the collection, development and prioritization of Navy shore side environmental quality (EQ) Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E;) requirements. These requirements relate directly to the Navy's Cleanup, Compliance, Pollution Prevention, and Conservation Environmental Pillars. This web site also establishes a management process for the Navy shore side 6.4 Technology Demonstration/Validation (Dem/Val) program in program planning, development, and execution, and technology implementation.
