Many text and numeric databases are available from Federal agencies for policy analysis and general research. Web-based tools allow you to use your browser to view predefined reports and generate your own tables with data obtained through searches and queries of summary and microdata files.
The tools provided allow you to select statistical information interactively (for example, making a selection from a scrollable list on a form), view the data in a variety of formats including HTML tables and graphics, print, or download into spreadsheets. Most of the tools require at least Netscape 3.x or Internet Explorer 3.x.
