The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) maintains its headquarters' offices in Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C. The Baltimore location is in Woodlawn, Maryland, in western Baltimore County. It is situated in a convenient area, directly off the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), close to restaurants, stores, places of worship, and medical facilities. A new state-of-the-art headquarters complex was completed in 1995. The Washington, D.C. location is in the heart of the nation's capital, and offers all the amenities of a cosmopolitan site. There are also ten regional offices located throughout the United States - Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, and Seattle.
