10/12/2004 - ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AFPN) -- Air Force Academy women’s soccer lost a Mountain West Conference soccer match 2-1 to the University of New Mexico here Oct. 10.

The Falcons fall to 3-9-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the conference.

Bridgette Sanchez scored the first goal for the UNM Lobos (5-6-0, 1-0-0 MWC) on a penalty kick in the 75th minute. Anna Neu made it a 2-0 match with a goal in the 82nd minute off a pass from Kristine Sweat.

The Falcons scored in the 87th minute to cut the lead to 2-1. Elaine Tatarek scored her second goal of the season off a pass from Danielle Jaramillo. Tatatek had the lone shot on goal for the Falcons.

Jennifer Drew took the loss at goalkeeper for the Falcons, tallying three saves in 85 minutes of play. Katherine Schifani played the final five minutes at keeper for Air Force.
