Monitors public health activities and facilitates exchange of information between public health agencies. Maintains computerized annual data on health department funding, programs, and expenditures, including information on occupational safety and health activities relating to a number of infectious diseases. Information services include answering data-related inquiries, special analyses, and publication dissemination. Services are primarily for public health policymakers and researchers.
Electronic Products: Maintains the Public Health Network, a telecommunications network linking public health departments nationwide. Preregistration required.
Databases: Maintains PH-IMPACT, a database of information on public health department expenditures, interventions, and outcomes.
