IDEA: TO SHOW A DIVERSE GROUP OF SENIORS WITHIN ONE COMMUNITY-MEN, WOMEN, SHORT, TALL, DIFFERENT RACES, DIFFERENT DRESS, ETC. THE POINT: PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT, AND THEREFORE, HAVE DIFFERENT NEEDS FOR A DRUG DISCOUNT CARD.

WE'RE OUTSIDE A MODEST RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD ON A SUNNY DAY WHERE LOTS OF PEOPLE ARE OUTSIDE. A SENIOR WOMAN WALKS HER DOG ON THE SIDEWALK. THE CAMERA BRIEFLY PAUSES ON HER FOR A MOMENT.

A FEW SENIORS STAND IN LINE IN FRONT OF HIM. THE MAN AT THE FRONT TAKES OUT HIS WALLET AND AS HE OPENS IT, A STRANGE, BLUE, MAGICAL GLOW OF LIGHT STREAMS OUT AND WASHES OVER HIM. HE TAKES HIS MEDICINE FROM THE PHARMACIST AND WALKS AWAY.

OUR HERO, STANDING AT THE FAR END OF THE LINE LOOKS ON, ASTONISHED.

THE NEXT WOMAN IN LINE WALKS UP TO THE COUNTER AND OPENS HER HANDBAG. INSTANTLY, THE SAME BLUE, MAGICAL LIGHT RUSHES OUT OF HER HANDBAG.

OUR HERO, STILL WAITING IN LINE, LOOKS EVEN MORE PERPLEXED. THE WOMAN PICKS UP HER PRESCRIPTION AND WALKS AWAY.

THE NEXT MAN IN LINE TAKES OUT HIS WALLET AND OPENS IT. AGAIN, THE SAME STRANGE GLOW OF LIGHT STREAMS OUT AND ENVELOPES HIM. HE TAKES OUT HIS PRESCRIPTION DRUG CARD AND WE FINALLY SEE THE SOURCE OF THE LIGHT – THE BLUE MEDICARE LOGO ON HIS CARD. HE HANDSIT TO THE PHARMACIST, THEN PICKS UP HIS ORDER AND LEAVES.

FINALLY, IT IS OUR MAN’S TURN. HE REACHES INTO HIS POCKET, TAKES OUT HIS WALLET AND OPENS IT EXPECTING THE SAME BLUE LIGHT TO POUR OUT. BUT THERE’S NOTHING.
