Is the $600 credit available to income eligible benes with VA benefits, how will it interact with VA pharmacies?
  Question
Is the $600 credit available to low income eligible benes with VA benefits, how will it interact with VA pharmacies?
  Answer
Yes, the $600 credit is available to income-eligible beneficiaries who have Veteran's Administration (VA) benefits. Some VA drug benefits are administered through mailorder and local retail pharmacies. Sponsors are not required to coordinate VA benefits, but may be able to, if the pharmacies in the drug card network already coordinate benefits. Beneficiaries should contact their sponsors and the VA to determine whether and how they can get the 5% or 10% co-insurance covered by the VA. Also, beneficiaries should contact the sponsor to learn whether they will be able to use the card at VA pharmacies.
