Answer |

If a beneficiary is already enrolled in a Medicare-approved drug discount card and later becomes eligible for the $600 credit, the beneficiary can apply through the sponsor that offers his or her card. The beneficiary can request an enrollment form for the $600 credit from the beneficiary's sponsor, a SHIP, 1-800-MEDICARE or through the web at www.medicare.gov. If the beneficiary qualifies for the $600 credit, Medicare will pay the annual enrollment fee, and the sponsor will refund any enrollment fee already paid for the year.
