Audio Conferencing also referred to as Teleconferencing, is
a means of connecting more than two people on the same phone call.
Choosing the correct method* to place your conference calls:
Six or less people (Including the originator):
Most phones at the NIH
will allow you to conference with two others, while some ISDN phones can
connect up to six parties.
Six or more people:
* Contact NIH Telephone Operator Services (301-496-4517)
to setup a conference call with MCI. Use this option if you will need operator assistance, or you are not a frequent user of audio conferencing
or
* Submit a Telephone Service Request (TSR) to set up an account with MCI and obtain a toll-free number and access code. Use this option if you will be a frequent teleconference user. Click here for a TSR Form.
