The NIH Center for Information Technology (CIT), Division of Network Systems and Telecommunications (DNST), provides maintenance and operation guidelines for the following Wireless Systems:

- 104 Paging Network -
is a Government owned and operated VHF Paging Network, designed for IC Usage within the NIH Campus and up to a 50 miles radius. The service includes coverage for the Code Blue Emergencies and presently provides one-way voice and display messages to more than 5000 NIH Customers.

- 2-Way Radio Network (Trunked Communications Network) - is a UHF-2-Way Communications Network concentrated on the NIH Campus. The system is designed with consideration for the public safety communications of the Division of Public Safety, (DPS) as well as Police, and all Crime and Emergency Management Departments. Additional users include: the Division of Engineering Services (DES), Public Works, Shops, Maintenance Engineering Sections, CC Code Blue Services, the Nutrition Department, Building Services and other IC's .
with "Talk Group" activities that require radio communications and support in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.


- Hearing Impaired Fire Alarm Notification Network
- is a "stand-alone" Paging Network, presently operated above and beyond the existing 104 Paging Network. Designed in a joint effort by DNST, DES and EMB for fire alarm notification to the hearing-impaired employees and ICs within NIH Buildings located on the main campus. Pagers supplied under this Network provides one-way fire alarm notification with the campus environment. 50-plus users are presently being served by this Network.
