Other Sources of Drug Abuse Information
The Federal Government operates many clearinghouses and information centers that provide assistance to health professionals, educators, researchers, and the public. To respond to the specific needs of NIDA Infofax callers, the following is a list of agencies that address drug abuse-related issues. These services distribute publications, provide referrals, and answer simple to complex inquiries. Many offer toll-free numbers, mailing and Internet addresses, foreign language-specific lines, and fax numbers. Unless otherwise noted, services can be reached by phone in the continental United States during Eastern Standard Time.

Funded by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Workplace Helpline is designed for decision makers in business, union organizations, and community-based, anti-drug groups. Consultation is provided in areas including policy development, supervisor training, employee education, employee assistance programs, and drug testing. All publications are free.
