Jump$tart Coalition for Financial Literacy
This coalition of more than 20 organizations is working to improve the financial literacy of students in grades K-12. A clearinghouse of resources and teaching ideas can be found on the Jump$tart Web site or by calling (202) 466-8610.
North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA)
NASAA has a list of the securities regulators in each state. Contact your state regulator to find out about local educational programs or publications.
National Association of Securities Dealers
(NASD)
NASD has posted the Basics of Saving and Investing Curriculum, a calculator to help students understand the power of compound interest, and other information on their investor education Web site.
Investor Protection Trust (IPT)
The IPT provides independent, objective information needed by consumers to make informed investment decisions. NASAA and IPT are partnering in a program to train teachers who want to include saving and investing in the curriculum. Securities Industry Foundation for Economic Education
(SIFEE)
SIFEE sponsors the Stock Market Game in cooperation with state centers of economic education.
