Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Kansas, your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $17,224 if one person lives in the household; $23,107 if two people live in the household; $28,990 if three people live in the household; $34,873 if four people live in the household; $40,756 if five people live in the household; $46,639 if six people live in the household; $52,522 if seven people live in the household; $58,405 if eight people live in the household. For larger households, add $5,883 for each additional person in the home.
Description
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was created to serve nutritious meals to children when National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program meals are not available. To ensure all Kansas children receive proper nutrition throughout the year, SFSP reimburses organizations that prepare and serve meals to eligible children during the summer and school vacation periods.
