Eligibility criteria
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of New Hampshire , you must need financial assistance for home energy costs and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $17,934 if one person lives in the household; $23,452 if two people live in the household; $28,970 if three people live in the household; $34,489 if four people live in the household; $40,007 if five people live in the household; $45,525 if six people live in the household, or $46,559 if seven people live in the household. For larger households, add $1,035 for each additional person in the home.

Description
The New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning Fuel Assistance Program (FAP) may be able to provide some relief for residents who are having trouble paying for heat during the winter season. The Office of Energy and Planning (OEP) contracts with six local Community Action Agencies (also known as CAAs) to provide service to eligible households. As funds become available, the Fuel Assistance Program provides benefits to qualified New Hampshire households to assist with heating costs. Renters and homeowners are eligible for the Fuel Assistance Program.
