The Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights (OEOCR) provides agency-wide leadership and advice on issues of diversity, civil rights, and equal employment opportunity. OEOCR is responsible for maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability (mental and/or physical), age, and reprisal for all CMS employees and applicants. The office in collaboration with the Department's Office of Civil Rights also works to ensure equal opportunity and accessibility for users of programs and services operated or funded by CMS.
