Description: The Appalachian Trail Conference is a private, volunteer-based nonprofit organization, dedicated since 1925 to building, protecting, and managing the Appalachian Trail for the public. Its web site provides an overview of the trail on a state-to-state basis, it gives a photo tour of the trail and provides basic information about the trail.
