Description:  Get your hands dirty and learn how to build sustainable and fun singletrack. The school includes three hours of classroom instruction followed by hands-on-time in the field learning trail building techniques. Topics include designing a contour trail, controlling water flow, building effective trail structures, and routine trail maintenance. Field work will be hands-on, so come prepared. Long pants and a long sleeved shirt are recommended. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water, snacks, work gloves, sunscreen, and a hat. Also, if you have any trail building tools - pulaskis, McLeods, rakes, picks, shovels, etc., please bring them along. If you would like more information please visit IMBA's website at www.IMBA.com. Description:  Clean and perform trail maintenance on hiking,biking and horse trails at Hueston Woods. Small hand tools will be provided but if you have them bring them with you. Come for the weekrnd or a few hours. Wear work clothes,heavy shoes or boots, and bring cloves. Free camping will be provided by the park at the Horse Arena on Hedge Row Road just behind the bike rental shop off Main Loop Road. Some electric sites are available if needed. Box lunches and a evening meal will be provided along with breakfast on Sunday Morning. You must be 15 years of age or older to participate. No limit on number of volunteers. Volunteers may arrive Friday night at the Horse Arena to set up camp.

Description:  The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks & Recreation's Annual appreciation camp out for volunteers in Ohio's 73 State Parks. Ohio volunteers are invited for a weekend of free camping and family fun activities and entertainment. Last year, over 300 volunteers from across Ohio participated in this event. Located at Dillion State Park, approximately 35 miles from Columbus, near Zanesville, Ohio. Activities include tours of Longaberger Company and the John Glenn/Zane Gray Museum, boat tours of Dillion Reservoir and games and hikes led by park naturalists. Meals provided to campers include dinner on Friday and Saturday, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and lunch on Saturday.
