Auto Update

Here are instructions for configuring Automatic Updates in
Windows XP:

1. Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panels -> System
2. Click on the Automatic Updates tab (NOTE: If the options on this tab are all greyed out, then your computer
   has already been configured via the login script, and further
   configuration is not necessary)
3. Enable the top-most option, labeled "Keep my computer up to date..."
4. Select the third radio button, labeled "Automatically download the
   updates, and install them on the schedule that I specify"
5. Set the day to "Every day" and the time to "2:00 PM"
6. Click OK

• McAfee Antivirus can be updated by visiting the Network Associates download site.
• To see if your McAfee is up to date, right click on the McAfee Vshield icon in the system tray and click "About" to see the version and compare with the latest version on the website, above.

• Norton Antivirus can be updated by visiting the Symantec download site.
