The Food and Nutrition Information Center (FNIC) is one of several information centers located at the National Agricultural Library (NAL), part of the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS). FNIC provides information on food, human nutrition, and food safety to consumers and professionals. Resource lists and databases, as well as many other food and nutrition related links can be accessed from the FNIC web site. Hours 8:30-4:30 M-F.
Publications
FNIC resource lists are subject-specific bibliographies for consumers and professionals. They cover information on such topics as: child nutrition and health, dietary supplements, ethnic/cultural resources, food allergies and intolerances, food safety, food service, and nutrition education/learning.
