Abstract

The NIDCD Information Clearinghouse is a national resource center which provides information on hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech and language disorders. The Clearinghouse collects and disseminates information; maintains a computerized database, a subfile of the Combined Health Information Database (CHID); and develops and distributes publications. NIDCD Information Clearinghouse responds to telephone, mail and electronic mail requests from health professionals, patients, and the public. Publications include fact sheets, bibliographies, information packets and directories of information resources. The Clearinghouse also publishes a biannual newsletter.
