The National Institute of Health Osteoporosis and Related Bone Diseases ~ National Resource Center provides patients, health professionals, and the public with an important link to resources and information on metabolic bone diseases including osteoporosis, Paget's disease of bone, osteogenesis imperfecta, and primary hyperparathyroidism. Specific populations served include the elderly, men, women, adolescents, and minorities. The National Resource Center offers materials in Spanish, Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, Lao, and Vietnamese. The National Resource Center is supported under a contract from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, NIH, with contributions from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, The National Institute on Dental and Craniofacial Research, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, NIH Office of Research on Women's Health, DHHS Office on Women's Health, and the National Institute on Aging. The National Resource Center is operated by the National Osteoporosis Foundation.
