Abstract

The National Public Health Leadership Development Network states its mission as "to refine and expand state and regional efforts to facilitate, demonstrate and evaluate increased capacity of public health leadership". State and regional leadership programs meet the local grassroots needs by developing and enhancing individual and organizational leadership and management for improving and promoting the health of communities. The network is supported through a cooperative agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with the Association of Schools of Public Health and Saint Louis University School of Public Health.
