POSITION: Research Physiologist/Research Nutritionist/Research Psychologist
LOCATION: Grand Forks, ND
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The position is located in the Applied
Physiology Laboratory, Mineral Nutrient Functions Management Unit, Grand
Forks Human Nutrition Research Center. The incumbent will participate
in community nutrition surveys to determine the roles of energy intake,
nutritional status, physical activity, body composition and health among
Native Americans and intervention studies involving diet and physical
activity to reduce risk of obesity and diabetes in Native American children
and adults.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Recent Ph.D. in physiology, nutrition,
psychology or related discipline is required. Other desired knowledge,
skills, and abilities include assessment of food intake and physical activity,
and capability to work in community-based nutrition studies using culturally-appropriate
methods.
