POSITION: Research Chemist

LOCATION: Peoria, IL

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The incumbent is a Research Chemist in the Mycotoxin Research Unit at the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research, Peoria, Illinois. The position will focus on proteomic analysis and characterization of fungal and plant proteins induced and/or suppressed during maize ear rot development caused by Fusarium verticilloides, including proteins involved in fumonisin biosynthesis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Recent Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, fungal physiology, plant pathology, fungal biochemistry or related field of study is required. Experience in proteomics techniques is desired.
