POSITION: Research Molecular Biologist/Research Geneticist

LOCATION: Beltsville, MD

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The position is located in the Animal Parasitic Diseases Laboratory, Animal and Natural Resources Institute. The scientist will be responsible for conducting independent and team research on the immunology, molecular biology, and functional genomics related to the control of coccidiosis, and for the evaluation, interpretation, and publication of results.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in biology, molecular biology, genetics, or closely related discipline related to the position is required. Skill in DNA sequencing, RT-PCR, Northern blot analysis, cloning and expression of genes in E. Coli, and gene expression analysis including ability to analyze microarray data using a variety of software is also required.
