POSITION: Molecular Biologist (Immunology)

LOCATION: Kearneysville, WV

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The position is located at the National Center for Cool and Cold Water Aquaculture in Kearneysville, WV. The scientist will be responsible for identifying and characterizing rainbow trout cytokine genes involved in disease resistance. Research will involve measurement of gene expression after vaccination and challenge. This project is expected to lead to an improved understanding of disease resistance and factors involved in the generation of protective immunity.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, or a related field is required. The candidate must have a background in immunology and an interest in comparative immunology. Practical knowledge of recombinant protein production, antibody generation, and flow cytometry are desirable but not required.
