POSITION: Research Plant Pathologist
LOCATION: Jackson, TN
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: A 2-year postdoctoral position is available to
investigate nematode suppressive soil in soybean monoculture with and
without winter wheat cover, and different tillage treatments imposed
on the cropping sequences. The candidate will complement ongoing research
through analyses of microbial composition using fatty acid methyl ester
(FAME) analysis and process the soil samples for enumeration of soil-dwelling
nematodes.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Recent Ph.D. in Nematology, Plant Pathology,
or Zoology is required. Experience in nematology and knowledge of microbiological
techniques is desirable.
