If you're in fee-for-service Medicare, you may have multiple choices of discount cards, but if you're in a Medicare HMO that offers the discount card, will you have any choices?
  Question
If you're in fee-for-service Medicare, you may have multiple choices of discount cards, but if you're in a Medicare HMO that offers the discount card, will you have any choices?
  Answer
If a Medicare managed care plan offers its card to individuals outside the plan, then its members may choose any card. However, as required by Congress, a Medicare managed care plan may offer a card exclusively to its members, and then its members may only enroll in that card.
