Can we have more information on how manufacturer programs will work with the Discount Card and Transitional Assistance?
  Question
Can we have more information on how manufacturer programs will work with the Discount Card and Transitional Assistance?
  Answer
Many sponsors and pharmaceutical manufacturers are working together to provide deeply discounted or free medications to transitional assistance-eligible drug card enrollees once the $600 is exhausted. The table located at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/medicarereform/drugcard/mfragreements.asp indicates the sponsors and manufacturers that have agreed to work together to provide these benefits as of early June 2004. We understand that negotiations between manufacturers and sponsors are continuing and this list is expected to grow.
