Council on Family Health was established in 1966 as a nonprofit organization, independent of any trade association or government agency, as a public service of the makers of medicines. The Council's goals are to educate consumers in the proper use of nonprescription and prescription medicines and dietary supplements, and home safety and personal health issues. All published materials are available to the public upon written request.
Publications
Council publications include charts and booklets (Babysitter Center, Safety Rules, and Emergency Telephone Sticker); English and Sanish language brochures (Medicines and You: A Guide for Older Americans, Drug Interactions: What You Should Know; and Got a Sick Kid?); and tip sheets on a variety of subjects.
