The Debt Management Center's primary mission is to collect debts resulting from an individual's participation in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) programs in the most efficient and cost effective means possible while maintaining compassionate, high quality service to veterans and their families.

We act as a trusted resource for veterans and their families to consult in the management and payment of a debt to VA. We offer a broad range of guidance and counsel to veterans covering everything from debt payment to debt reduction and negotiation.

In addition to our primary mission, our business mission is to support the VA mission by supplying common administrative services at competitive prices. Our services include:

• Account Maintenance: Traditional debt collection including automated generation of collection letters, a toll-free call-in service and payment processing.



• Predictive Dialing: An automated dialing system permits a relatively few agents to reach hundreds of debtors each day to solicit payment of debts. The device predicts when agents will be available and paces the calls accordingly. Predictive dialing is also useful for consumer surveys and dissemination of consumer information.



• Administrative Offset: Programming, monitoring and reporting services for the internal offset of VA compensation and pension. Consolidates indebtedness accounts from the Veterans Benefits Administration and Veterans Health Administration for referral to the Department of Treasury for offset of almost any Federal payment.



• Administrative Services: Clerical, programming and financial services either ancillary or not related to collection services.
