Text: State Department Statement Sept. 19 on U.S.-DPRK Talks
Following is the text: U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE STATEMENT BY PHILIP T. REEKER, DEPUTY SPOKESMAN U.S., DPRK to Resume Talks Delegations from the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), led respectively by Ambassador Charles Kartman and Vice Foreign Minister Kim Gye Gwan, will meet in New York beginning September 27. The two sides will hold comprehensive talks encompassing Agreed Framework implementation, missile issues, and terrorism. Robert Einhorn, Assistant Secretary of State for Nonproliferation, will lead the U.S. side in the talks covering missile issues. Ambassador Michael A. Sheehan, Coordinator for Counterterrorism, will lead the U.S. side in the talks covering terrorism.
