Description
The Vermont SFSP was created to ensure that children in low-income areas could continue to receive nutritious meals during long school vacations, when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast.
The program reimburses contractors who serve approved meals to qualifying children aged 18 and under. Additionally, contractors are reimbursed for meals served to individuals aged 19 and over if those individuals participate in a public or nonprofit school program and have been determined by a public educational agency to be mentally or physically handicapped.
