* The format is the first initial of the first name, the last name as it appears on the Earnings and Leave Statement from the National Finance Center, and the two-digits of the day of birth. If the last name is hyphenated, has an apostrophe, or an abbreviation such as Jr or II, a space must be uses instead of the hyphen or apostrophe and between the name and the abbreviation. For example, the username for Joe O'Smith, III, born on April 30, 1961, will be 'JO Smith III30' while the username for Jane Doe who was born on July 04, 1956, will be 'JDoe04'.
