The U.S. Geological Survey Photographic Library is a collection of
about 300,000 photographs taken during geologic studies of the
United States and its Territories from 1869 to the present. Coverage
outside the United States is limited. About 250,000 are black
and white photographs, and most of the remainder are color transparencies.
