Neagoy was appointed as a half-time IPA Program Director in the Division of Elementary, Secondary, and Informal Education at the National Science Foundation beginning August 2001. This will involve work in Teacher Enhancement programs and other programs as needed.

She has been teaching mathematics and mathematics education through Georgetown University for the past 18 years. Most of this work has been with K-12 teachers. From 1996-1999 Neagoy taught a distance learning course in discrete mathematics to advanced high school students in Arlington, Virginia.

She has also served as an independent consultant in mathematics education, specializing in curriculum design, staff development, and teacher enhancement.
