Credit Union Development
The
Office of Credit Union Development:
- Foster
business development of credit unions
by providing the guidance and education needed
for the delivery of financial services.
- Facilitate
the expansion of credit union services
through the chartering of new credit
unions and field of membership expansions.
- Coordinate
efforts -- with third-party organizations
-- to improve the viability and successful
operation of credit unions.
NCUA encourages low-income designated credit unions to apply for Technical Assistance
Grant (TAG) funding available to stimulate growth
and savings, home ownership, member education,
technical upgrades, student internships and the
IRS volunteer income tax assistance (VITA) program. Please
