IMLS Conferences Hosting conferences to explore the roles libraries and museums play in our society is one way IMLS shares best practices. Following are highlights from IMLS sponsored conferences. Charting the Landscape/Mapping New Paths: - Museums, Libraries & K-12, a workshop focusing on the K-12 years as a foundation for lifelong learning and on ways in which museums and libraries can form effective collaborations with schools and other community organizations in order to address learners' needs. Workshop invitees included seventy-five leaders from museums, libraries, school systems, higher education, government agencies, organizations involved in education reform, and IMLS staff. August 2004 Web-Wise 2004 - Sharing Digital Resources. March 2004 21st Century Learner: The Continuim Begins with Early Learning - September 18-19, 2003. Preserving America's Printed Resources: The Role of Repositories, Depositories and Libraries of Record - In cooperation with the Center for Research Libraries (CRL), IMLS will host a conference and planning event to inform and shape a national agenda for preserving the nation's printed heritage.
