Export Counseling and Assistance

  • Export Questions and Information Referral:
    1-800-USA-TRADE is the toll-free number for the Trade Information Center (TIC). Their counselors stand ready to answer your export-related questions and/or refer you to a specialist in your area of concern.

  • Agricultural or Commodity Exporters:
    The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) network of overseas offices supports U.S. agricultural interests in markets throughout the world through its network of agricultural trade officers stationed abroad and its marketing specialists in Washington, DC.

  • First-Time Exporters:
    The U.S Small Business Administration (SBA) administers the Small Business Development Center Program (SBDCs) to provide management assistance to current and prospective small business owners. SBDCs offer one-stop assistance to small businesses by providing a wide variety of information and guidance in central and easily accessible branch locations.

  • Experienced Exporters and Export-Ready U.S. Firms:
    The U.S. Commercial Service has a network of export and industry specialists located in 104 cities across the United States and in over 80 countries worldwide to assist small and mid-sized U.S. exporters enter or expand into international markets.

  • Russia and the Newly Independent States:
    BISNIS is the U.S. government's primary resource center for U.S. companies exploring business opportunities in Russia and other Newly Independent States.

  • Central and Eastern Europe:
    CEEBIC offers a wide array of services, business counseling, and information products designed to help primarily small-sized and medium-sized U.S. companies export to Central and Eastern European markets.

  • National Export Directory:
    The NED contains contact information for federal and state trade offices, trade finance offices, trade centers, and foreign trade zones.
